GETTING THEM HOOKED...

More than fishing. A chance to connect.

Carp Hunters Foundation creates access to fishing for young people from underprivileged communities, working with schools and families to support youth development, mentorship and stronger father-and-son relationships.

Why We Exist

For many young people living near our rivers, fishing is within sight but not always within reach.

The cost of equipment, limited guidance and a lack of organised opportunities can prevent young people from experiencing everything fishing has to offer.

Carp Hunters Foundation works with underprivileged communities, schools and families to make fishing more accessible. Through safe, guided experiences, young people learn practical fishing skills while developing patience, confidence, responsibility and respect for the natural environment.

Our programmes also create opportunities for positive mentorship and meaningful time between fathers and sons, helping them learn together and build stronger relationships.

How the Programme Works

Fishing provides the setting. Youth development is the purpose.

  1. 01

    Create Access

We work with underprivileged communities, schools and families to give young people access to fishing experiences, equipment and guidance that may otherwise be out of reach.

  2. Learn the Skills

Through practical coaching, participants learn responsible fishing skills such as casting, knotting, preparing traces and caring for the natural environment.

    Grow Beyond the Water

Fishing provides a practical setting for building confidence, patience, communication, problem-solving, responsibility and positive relationships.

  4. Recognise Progress

Participants are encouraged through achievable milestones and activities that recognise their learning, effort and personal growth.
